Recording in the studio is a lot of fun, if you depressurize the experience...what we do is realize from the beginning that we will make mistakes...so that making a mistake is not a traumatic experience...also we realize that everyone around us has idea's about how we should do certain things, we have learned to listen to others advice...not be so set on having your way..others have ides's that are really good...and above all not to make an issue out of things that we want done to the music, that just dont work...we quickly move on...it keeps us moving forward at a good pace!! It also helps to establish a *friendship* with those u are working with, respect and humor go along way in helping ur project...we value opinions of others, although we reserve the right to veto any idea we are just against...that has not happend yet....cool people come up with cool idea's.....Dont be hard on yourself, or others, realize that all involved want the best for your project...your out front but they are your music, your engineer...they want the best for you..it reflects on their job if its not the best that all can do.....GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECT!!
