My wife Lillie, came home in a somber mood yesterday, I could tell that she had experienced a earth-shaking moment. I waited until she had settled down, and asked her how her doctors appointment had gone.....she said it had a few challenges..they sort of ran her around the place, did not quite get much accomplished, then she broke out in tears...and began to tell me of how when she went to the post office on her way to the doctor, she encountered a homeless woman sitting outside of the post office..she went inside, and was on her way to the car, the Holy Ghost tugged at her heart to go back and minister to the homeless woman....she asked the woman her name, she told her Julie,...when asked where she lived she answered "by the railroad tracks"....When Lillie told her she would be praying for her situation, the lady asked if she could bring her a bible, then when Lillie told her she would, the woman started crying and said, do you think you could bring me a blanket also because mine got stolen last night....Lillie went and purchased her the Bible, and blanket, and also bought her a tarp for shelter...she returned and the woman was amazed that Lillie had actually bought her those items...Lillie told her that we would be praying for her situation and the homeless woman replied. "BEFORE YOU GO LET ME DO ONE THING"..and she began to pray for Lillie, our family, and asked God to bless us...her prayer was heartfelt and sincere....then she said that if Lillie ever needed anything or was hungry and she had any money, that she would buy her food.....what I got out of this was SOMETIMES WE THINK WE ARE BLESSING PEOPLE, BUT WE CAN BE BLESSED BY THOSE WHO WE WOULD NOT EXPECT IT FROM...REMEMBER THE HOMELESS!!!!!
